Online Quest Leveling Rules

The questing program below is an attempt to allow participants who cannot travel to Evermore regularly the opportunity to participate, quest and rank. Below is an event-based quest system. This will allow users to use their imaginations while keeping to the spirit of their guild, quest and room it is in. Experience will generally be significantly less than an in-park encounter. Example: You may only acquire a single point of experience for slaying the final boss of a dungeon. Defeating minions and helping a town will be a reward unto itself as your renown grows in the worlds of the Syndicate. Additionally, events that happen during these quests will not necessarily be considered canon. That said, if a quest performed does show particular imagination, ingenuity and plays well into the ideas of that plane, a planer architect may consider it. Most of all, have fun!

For your quest to be considered for guild leveling, please follow the outline below. Once all events have been completed, please submit your completed quest details to the online reporting form here so the planer architect over the area you are role playing in can review it.

Rules of online questing:

  1. Must quest in a guild role-play room
    1. Stick to the ideals of the room. IE, the High Sea’s is ocean based.

  2. Must play “events” under 1 quest
    1. Event 1: Solo play
      1. Must include a fight scene
      2. Must include a discovery from a previous post not of your own. May be about a person, place, thing, group… the idea is to learn something you didn’t know before.

    2. Event 2: 2 players
      1. Must include a fight scene with at least 1 magic spell from own guild used correctly with chant and description of action.
      2. Must include a discovery from one of the other players in the group.

    3. Event 3: 2 players
      1. Must include a fight scene with at least 1 magic spell from own guild used correctly with chant and description of action.
      2. Must include a discovery from one of the other players in the group.
    4. Event 4: 3 players
      1. Must include a fight scene with at least 2 magic spells from own guild used correctly with chant and description of action.
      2. Must include a discovery from one of the other players in the group.

    5. Event 5: 3 players and any guild leader or other ranking member.
      1. Must include a fight scene with at least 2 magic spells from own guild used correctly with chant and description of action.
      2. Must include a discovery from one of the other players in the group.
      3. 5th event ends in boss fight. Leader must approve of fight and quality of fight to award points. This protects against simple events and fights.

  3. Combined event time must not take less than 5 days to complete.

  4. Only 1 quest per room at a time. So if you start a quest in the high sea’s you may only join another event to help another player, not start a second one of your own.

  5. More than 1 quest may be played at a time if other quests are in different rooms.

  6. To earn level points with guild all events must be from 1 quest.

  7. Participation in other events with other characters count only if rolled into a multi-event quest. IE, you are on a high sea’s quest and meet up and help another player who is also on a high sea’s quest and your paths cross.

  8. Only 1 level point will be added per quest with the approval of guild master. A written synopsis of the quest is HIGHLY encouraged and may lead to an additional bonus items, like a 1-use magical item (or other) of guild masters choosing. Item name and description may be emailed, printed and used at park or in online play.
